The Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone Receives New Hotfix On Steam, Fixes Some Gwent Issues

Francesco De Meo

Last week The Witcher 3 received a new patch addressing some of the game's issues on all formats without adding any new feature, as previously announced by the team. It seems like, however, that the team was not done fixing the PC version of the game, as a new hotfix has been made available on Steam a few hours ago.

The new The Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone hotfix addresses some issues related to Gwent, the game's excellent card mini-game. The hotfix fixes a problem where boards shown after finishing a game of Gwent were incorrectly grayed out and restores the progress bar shown when passing a round during a game of Gwent. Minor fixes, that's for certain, but very welcome for all those who cannot pass on playing a round of Gwent whenever possible. The new hotfix is around 370 MB big.

CD Projekt RED is currently hard at work on the game's second expansion called Blood and Wine. Full details on the expansion have yet to surface online, but something new on it has emerged online last week thanks to The Witcher 3 Senior Story Writer Jakub Szamalek. According to Mr. Szamalek, the team has managed to create something more refined than the main game, also thanks to players' feedback. Mr. Szamalek has also revealed that The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine will feature a rather complex story that players will certainly enjoy and a very charismatic antagonist.

The Witcher 3 is now available in all regions on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The Blood and Wine expansion will be released on a yet to be confirmed release date. We'll let you know more about the expansion as well as on any other future patch as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news on CD Projekt RED excellent role playing game.
