The Witcher 3 Blood And Wine New Video Showcases Intense Battles, Identity Of Books’ Returning Character Confirmed
After a wait that seemed to never end, Cd Projekt Red has finally confirmed when The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine expansion will be released. More details on the contents of the expansion have also come in yesterday, alongside some new screenshots showcasing the improved AI and more. A few hours ago, more The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine details have come in, alongside a beautiful gameplay video.
The new The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine gameplay video, which can be watched below, shows more of the beautiful duchy of Toussaint and also features some intense battles against some of the new monsters that players will have to face in the expansion. Also featured in the video are some of the new armor sets that players will be able to collect.
A while back, it’s been confirmed by the game’s Czech translator, among others, that The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine was going to feature an old, familiar character. Not much has been said about the identity of this character, leading most to speculate that the team was talking about either Fringilla Vigo or duchess Anna Henrietta. However, it seems like the team was talking about another character, as revealed by a few non-English websites.
According to Eurogamer Italy and Gry Online, the returning familiar character is the vampire Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy, also known simply as Regis, who joined Geralt’s party in The Witcher books to rescue Ciri. The character was eventually killed by Vilgefortz during the events at Stygga Castle, events depicted in the fifth novel of the saga, The Lady of the Lake, but the fact that vampires are able to regenerate themselves in The Witcher universe left the door open for his eventual comeback.
The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine will be released on May 31st in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We will keep you updated on the expansion as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
