The latest products are said to be based on the brand new Pascal architecture and will deploy several key technologies aimed specifically for gamers and enthusiasts. These technologies include enhanced DirectX 12 and Vulkan API support, powerful VR capabilities and several new gaming initiatives built under NVIDIA's GameWorks program.

Two years ago, NVIDIA unveiled Maxwell, there most efficient graphics architecture to date. In no time, Maxwell became a hit among the gaming community with competitive graphics cards such as the GeForce GTX 970 and the GeForce GTX 980 Ti.
