Before the release of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, we saw several configurations of the same gaming graphics card. One such configuration mentioned a 10 GB memory and the use of an AD104-275 GPU. Well, it looks like the graphics card with such a configuration has now surfaced, revealing that there was a time when this configuration was indeed planned and sampled to board partners.
We won't see the original RTX 4070(AD104-275).

Spotted by @Harukaze5719 at Goofish, this particular NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card features the unreleased AD104-275 GPU die which features 7168 cores, 224 TMUs and 80 ROPs. This core configuration matches the specs of the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER which was released a year after the release of the original variant. The clock speeds are listed at 2355 MHz base and 2520 MHz boost which are much faster than the RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 SUPER cards that we have on the market. The core count is also 22% higher than the original RTX 4070 graphics card.
In terms of memory configuration, the unreleased NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU is cut down a lot, featuring only a 10 GB VRAM across a 160-bit bus interface. The memory modules do support the 21 Gbps pin speeds, enabling up to 420.2 GB/s of bandwidth but that's low compared to the 504.2 GB/s bandwidth and 12 GB VRAM offered by the retail RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 SUPER cards. The graphics card is based on the "95.04.2E.00.01" BIOS & has a Device ID of "10DE 2785 - 10DE 16F8".
As for the PCB, this is definitely for the reference Founders Edition graphics card as it uses a similar design with a circular cut at the back. There are five GDDR6X memory dies but there's space for a total of 8 memory dies. The GPU can be seen labeled as the AD104-275-A1 die and the card makes use of a single 16-pin power connector and a 10-phase power delivery. There are three DP and one HDMI output on the graphics card too.
This once again shows that NVIDIA has a lot of configurations pre-planned before the official launch. These configurations are evaluated and the one that makes the most sense sees a release.
