With a new jailbreak around the corner, the SHSH blob saving utility, TinyUmbrella has been updated for iOS 6.1.

For those who are unaware, it is essential to back up your SHSH blobs before updating to iOS 6.1 if you plan to hack your device. The utility allows you to downgrade your device to older versions of iOS should you need to. Notcom, the developer of the utility promises another update very soon featuring cleaner code and an auto-updating feature.

The blog announcement:

6.0.2 and 6.1 support for all relevant devices has been added. Sorry for the delay. I'm still working on the rewrite that will include auto updating and much cleaner code. I'll post more details as I get closer to completion. I have a feeling I'll be making at least some of the modules open source on either github or bitbucket.
Enjoy 🙂
