Former Naughty Dog and Motive Studios game designer Robert Ryan has joined Microsoft’s first-party game studio, The Initiative.

As spotted by @Klobrille, the game designer recently updated his Linkedin page, which now mentions that he’s working at the development studio as Senior Systems Designer. During his time at Naughty Dog, Ryan worked on the upcoming The Last of Us Part II and Uncharted 4 for PlayStation 4 alongside the original The Last of Us and Uncharted 3.

Since the studio’s announcement last year, various big industry names have announced their move to the studio, including Red Dead Redemption designer Christian Cantamessa, Insomniac’s Drew Murray, and GTA V developer Tom Shephard. The Initiative is being helmed by former Crystal Dynamics head Darrel Gallagher and is based in Santa Monica.

We’ll probably hear more about the titles that The Initiative is working on at next month’s E3 event.
