Super NES Classic Edition Production Has Been Dramatically Increased; Reggie Advises Not To Pay More Than Retail Price

Last year, more than just a few Nintendo fans had trouble finding an NES Mini console due to the low stock numbers. Apparently, this won't be happening with the soon to release Super NES Classic Edition, according to the Nintendo Of America's president.

Speaking with the Financial Times about the Super NES Classic Edition, Reggie confirmed that Nintendo has dramatically increased production for the Super NES Classic Edition and, as such, there shouldn't be too many problems getting a unit at launch. He also added that customers shouldn't pay more than $80 for the console on any auction site.

I would strongly urge you not to over-bid on an SNES Classic on any of the auction sites . . . You shouldn't [have to] pay more than $79.99,

The Super NES Classic Edition launches in just a few days in all regions. The console will come with some of the best games ever released for the 16-bit console, such as Street Fighter II Turbo, Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy III, and many others. Also included is the never released before Star Fox 2.

Included with the Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition are one HDMI cable, one USB charging cable with AC adapter and two wired Super NES Classic Controllers, perfect for playing multiplayer games. Having two controllers will make it easy for two players to dive into multiplayer action right away. Some of the games with multiplayer options include Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Mario Kart, Contra III: The Alien Wars and Secret of Mana.
