A final, extended look at Street Fighter 6, the new entry in the classic fighting game series by CAPCOM launching this June on PC and consoles, will be coming next week, alongside plenty of big news and announcements.

This final look at the sixth main entry in the series will be coming during a new showcase which will go live next week, on April 20th, at 3:00 PM PST, 6:00 PM EST, and April 21st, 12:00 AM CET. During the show, host Lil Wayne will be joined by members of the development team to show more of the game's World Tour mode, Battle Hub, and Fighting Grounds. The total run time will be of 30 minutes, so it seems like CAPCOM has quite a bit to show.

What these big news and announcements are anyone's guess at this point, but it is likely that a Street Fighter 6 will be announced during the event, finally giving all fans of the series the chance to try out the game before it launches on June 2nd. Last week, a prominent Japanese streamer revealed that an Open Beta will be held before the end of the month, and with plenty of behind-the-scenes changes made to the now unplayable Closed Beta client on Steam, something is definitely brewing.

With Street Fighter 6, CAPCOM is aiming to bring the series back into the spotlight, adding content to the game that will be enjoyed by both casual fans and competitive-minded players. The Japanese publisher is also working with Legendary Entertainment on a new live-action movie, so the release of the sixth entry in the series will be only the start of the franchise's resurgence.

Street Fighter 6 launches on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on June 2nd. You can learn more about some of the new mechanics powering the game, such as Drive Impact and Drive Rush, and how some of the cast plays by checking out my preview.
