Starfield is definitely lacking in means of transportation, but the situation is set to improve in the future thanks to an upcoming mod.

Modder Jared Kohr shared a new video this week showcasing a work-in-progress mod that will allow players to pilot their own mech. While there's clearly some work left to be done, the mod seems to be working surprisingly well already.

Bethesda seems to be aware of Starfield's lack of means of travel, as new ones will be coming in future updates. Last month, the studio confirmed new game updates will be released about every six weeks starting from February, adding, alongside the aforementioned new means of travel, city maps, expanded ship customization, and new gameplay options. AMD FSR 3 and Intel XeSS support is also coming soon.

Starfield is available on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. You can learn more about the latest game from Bethesda by checking out my review

At the start of my journey in Starfield, my experience was admittedly rather dull and boring, but as I collected more Artifacts and got involved in the sprawling sci-fi universe created by Bethesda, I started warming up the game, getting to the point that I have some difficulty putting it down. While Starfield refines more than innovates the typical Bethesda formula, it is undoubtedly one of the best games ever made by the studio and one of the year's finest titles.
