EA and DICE will be debuting the very first Star Wars Battlefront 2 trailer during the Star Wars Celebration next month.
EA announced the upcoming first look at the Battlefront sequel on its website. The very first Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be presented during the “The Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront II” panel at the Star Wars Celebration event on April 15 at 2:30 PM ET/11:30 AM PT.
More information about the Star Wars Celebration can be found on the event’s official website.
As covered earlier, Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be playable during EA’s EA Play event in Hollywood this June. Tickets for this event will go on sale on April 20. Aside from the new Battlefront, the new Need for Speed installment will also be playable during EA’s own E3 event.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is expected to release this for both PC and consoles during this year’s holiday season. According to EA, the sequel, developed by three of the publisher’s development studios, will be bigger than its predecessor. Down below you’ll read what EA’s CEO, Andrew Wilson, said about the game during a recent financial earnings call.
As that game continues to thrive, we have also heard our players’ desire for even more depth and progression. Our next Star Wars Battlefront will be even bigger, taking players into more locations, and allowing them to play with more heroes and characters across multiple Star Wars eras”, Wilson said. “There will be new ways to play, including an all-new single player campaign, and much, much more that we’re excited to share with our players in the months ahead. To build a game of this magnitude, we’ve brought together three great studios — DICE, Motive, and Criterion — and aligned their areas of expertise to deliver an amazing experience in the next Star Wars Battlefront.”
