The first batch of classic SNES Switch games is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members.

Nintendo announced the arrival of SNES games for its online service on the Switch during its Direct earlier this week, and the first batch of classic Super Nintendo games are now available for subscribers to the Switch Online service.

New NES and SNES Nintendo Switch Games Will Be Added to Nintendo Switch Online Next Week

As we’ve found out, the SNES games are only available for those who’ve actually subscribed to the service – trial accounts don’t seem to give access to the SNES library, while the 7-day trial period does give access to the NES library of games.

“Nintendo Switch Online members can enjoy a curated library of more than 60 NES™ and Super NES™ classic games—including Super Mario Kart™, Super Metroid™, The Legend of Zelda™: A Link to the Past™, and more”, Nintendo writes.

“Compete (or cooperate) online with friends, share your screen, or virtually pass the controller, depending on the game.”

As covered by Nathan Birch earlier this week, the following games are currently included with SNES Switch Online:

Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Mario Kart
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Super Metroid
Star Fox
F-ZERO
Stunt Race FX
Pilotwings
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Kirby's Dream Course
Super Ghouls'n Ghosts
Demon's Crest
Super Soccer
Super Puyo Puyo 2
Breath Of Fire
BRAWL BROTHERS
SUPER E.D.F. EARTH DEFENSE FORCE
Super Tennis
Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics

As said, 20 classic SNES titles are now available through Switch Online and more will be added in the near future.
