Sea of Thieves Releasing on March 20th, 2018 with Xbox One X Enhancements, Cross Play & Xbox Play Anywhere

The Sea of Thieves release date for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC has just been announced by Rare.

Unveiled at this year’s Game Awards event, the game’s new trailer revealed a release next year on March 20th for both Xbox One and PC. You may also now pre-order the game and get access to a Limited Time beta event as well as unique clothing items.

When you pre-order Sea of Thieves you’ll also receive the exclusive Black Dog Pack, containing stylish clothing and items with unique, spectacular designs, as well as a chance to join other pioneering pirates in a Closed Beta ahead of the game’s worldwide launch on March 20th, 2018. The Black Dog Pack includes:

• A stunning, exclusive outfit – hat, peg leg, boots and gloves – all with distinctive Black Dog designs! • Matching musical instruments, including a hurdy gurdy and concertina, so you can shanty in style! • An ornate Black Dog cutlass to complete the set and cut a swathe of terror across the Sea of Thieves!

When you pre-order Sea of Thieves, you’ll also get your chance to participate in January 2018’s Closed Beta along with other pioneering pirates, allowing you to find your sea legs and sample the pirate life ahead of the game’s worldwide release!

Rare’s staggering shared world pirate adventure launches for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC on March 20th, 2018.

The game will release with Xbox One X enhancements (4K resolution and HDR support), Cross Play support between Xbox One systems and PC, and Xbox Play Anywhere support.

Sea of Thieves was officially announced during Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference. The first gameplay was shown a year later.
