ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Amp Extreme

The ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Amp Extreme is on the upper end of what you will find when sopping for an RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card and as such it demands a premium. Coming to market at an MSRP of $769.99 it's far from a cheap or value oriented card but didn't demand quite the premium I was expecting. Who this particular model is suited for makes for a very interesting conversation. The massive amount of RGB on this card can be as polarizing as it's size, those who love RGB will find nothing fault, but those who don't love it will be hard pressed to have much love for the design. So aesthetically it's going to be a person to person case. Perfomrance for those who just stuff a card in their build and let it go will be dissappointed as they'll find performance only slightly better than the stock Founders Edition, but those who enjoy tweaking will find this card to be a joy. The delta between this card and the RTX 2080 Founders Edition is substantial, and for the asking price over that card is much more palpable. The real interesting part is when comparing this overclocked performance to the RTX 2080Ti FE at 1440p and UW 1440p we find the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Amp Extreme to be the more compelling card from a price to performance metric for those wanting to squeeze as much as possible out of a high refresh rate panel. At 4K the RTX 2080Ti still holds a commanding lead, but at 1440p and UW 1440p the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Amp Extreme, when overclocked, offers up great performance but stock performance leaves a bit to be desired.
