Following the release of Quantum Break, Remedy Entertainment has been working on what is currently known as P7, the studio’s seventh project. Little is known about the project, other than that it will be a “cinematic third-person action game set in a new Remedy-created universe, featuring an intriguing story and the deepest game mechanics yet in a Remedy game”. It seems like, however, that P7 may be markedly different from what it has usually done so far.

In a new job ad found on Remedy’s official website seems to suggest that P7 may be an online multiplayer game in the vein of Bungie’s Destiny, with a well-established world and lore, or feature a prominent online component alongside a single player mode.

Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Quantum Break®, Max Payne®, Alan Wake® and Death Rally® and one of the leading independent game studios in the world, is looking for a World Systems Designer to create innovative and long-lasting gameplay for P7, a new Remedy project.

Are you constantly thinking about intriguing ways to excite your players and keep them invested in your game’s world? Are you obsessed with lore and a desire to create rich content that communities will devour? Do you design challenge systems that are so moreish your players plan their week around them? Have you already designed the next Battle Royale? Are you always among the first to find Xûr?

Considering the team confirmed a while back that they’re thinking about making P7 a game with expanded replayability, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this achieved with a Destiny-like multiplayer mode.

Remedy’s latest game, Quantum Break, is now out on Xbox One and PC in all regions.
