NVIDIA DLSS 3 (Super Resolution and Frame Generation) technology is confirmed to be featured in The Chinese Room's first-person horror game, Still Wakes the Deep. Out today on all platforms for an introductory price of $31.49, the game didn't capture the imagination of Wccftech reviewer Nathan Birch, who rated it just 6 out of 10.

While Still Wakes the Deep offers up its fair share of thrills, railroad-style level design, a short runtime, and a surprisingly superficial story result in an experience that may entertain in the moment, but will likely be forgotten rather quickly. Still Wakes the Deep may well float your boat at a discount, but there are better, scarier fish in the sea.

NVIDIA DLSS 3 offers GeForce RTX 40 Series users an average boost of 2.6X at 4K resolution with max settings, according to NVIDIA. There's also the option to swap the Super Resolution component with DLAA, which improves the visual fidelity through AI.

Today, PC gamers have another Unreal Engine 5 game release to look forward to, the MMORPG Pax Dei by Mainframe Industries (although this game debuts in early access). As previously announced, NVIDIA DLSS 3 is available in this game as well, providing GeForce RTX 40 owners an average performance uplift of 3X at 4K resolution with max settings. Pax Dei will stay in early access at least until June 2025; you can read more about the MMORPG in our detailed interview from earlier this month.

NVIDIA DLSS 3 will also be available at tomorrow's early access launch of the single player Viking-inspired survival game Skye: The Misty Isle. In this case, the average performance uplift is expected to be a bit lower, albeit still noticeable at 2.4X.

Lastly, as previously announced, Ghost Ship Games has introduced NVIDIA DLSS 3 support to its hit coop game Deep Rock Galactic with the launch of Season 5: Drilling Deeper.

On another note, NVIDIA is kicking off the 'GeForce Summer of RTX' with a plethora of sweepstakes and giveaways featuring prizes such as GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards, a Falcon Northwest gaming rig, G-SYNC displays, GeForce RTX keycaps, limited-edition GeForce RTX posters, and more.
