The Chinese Room also unveiled the voice cast of Still Wakes the Deep. Protagonist Cameron "Caz" McLeary will be played by Alec Newman, who has a long track record in the industry. He previously played Vangarre in Xenoblade Chronicles, Lahabrea in Final Fantasy XIV, Sebastian Vael in Dragon Age II, Arthur Tailles in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Apprentice Maraad and Captain Joris in Star Wars: The Old Republic, Simon Belmont in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, Finn in Dragon Age: Inquisition, Graden in The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, Jack the Ripper in the eponymous Assassin's Creed Syndicate DLC, Kram Namwen in Star Wars: Battlefront II, Robert in A Plague Tale: Innocence, Walla in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Adam Smasher (among others) in Cyberpunk 2077, Aitor in Dying Light 2: Stay Human, Blameless Marad in Horizon: Forbidden West, and Vladimir Blum in Alan Wake II. Newman said of his role:

The thing was so well written, and so well-conceived, that I don't recall having very long conversations about what Caz should sound like. With this, you can feel the writing, you can feel the characters.

The rest of the Still Wakes the Deep cast is notable, too:

  • Neve McIntosh as Suze
  • Karen Dunbar
  • Michael Abubakar
  • Clive Russell
  • Shaun Dooley
  • Stewart Scudamore
  • Nicholas Boulton
  • Duncan Pow
  • Sandy Batchelor
  • Alan Turkington
  • Noof Ousellam

In the game, players will step into the role of an oil rig worker when the off-shore platform he works on gets cut out from the world by a violent storm. As you might expect from a horror game, that's the least of the problems for the main character and the rest of the workers.

Still Wakes the Deep is set to launch on June 18 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
