It's a good day for leaks folks. Scratch that, it's an amazing day. While the iPhone 8, the OnePlus 5 and Google Pixel 2 make regular appearances, a rarer feature is the Nokia 9. The Finnish manufacturer, now under the HMD Global brand, has made a strong comeback recently. Its Nokia 6 was insanely popular in China and whispers related to a flagship smartphone are increasing day by day. Today, we've got a near complete reveal of the alleged flagship smartphone from the company, the Nokia 9. Take a look below to find out more.
Nokia 9 Prototype Tested - Device Will Feature Snapdragon 835, 4GB RAM, 5.3 Inch WQHD Display & More
When we talk about the Nokia 9, not a lot of detailed leaks have taken place for the device. In fact, just a couple of days back, it was believed that the manufacturer's flagship will be the Nokia 8. But, latest information suggests that another device, namely the Nokia 9, will get the title this year. The smartphone has seen only a few leaks so far. These, have provided us with few details but now, French publication Frandroid has managed to get their hands on a prototype for the smartphone.
According to their information, the Nokia 9 will be the company's flagship smartphone this year. The smartphone will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835, with 4GB RAM. Its display size will be 5.3 inches, with WQHD (2560x1440) display resolution. The prototype tested by the blog had an internal storage of 64GB, so we might get higher storage variants with 6GB RAM as well. For the rear camera, as you'll see in the images below, the Nokia 9 will be equipped with a dual camera setup. Both of these sensors will feature a resolution of 13MP.
Speaking about the camera, we've also got a couple of camera samples for you today. The result isn't very impressive to be honest as the images lack detail and don't reproduce colors efficiently. There are a variety of camera options available on the smartphone. With the Nokia 9 you'll be able to live stream videos to Youtube and Facebook. You'll also be able to take one picture at a time with the front and rear camera. These will then be superimposed or arranged side by side, according to need.
The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 and its interface is free from bloatware, resembling Google's Pixel lineup. Inside the box you get standard earphones with cable control. The device also supports Quick Charge 3.0. Overall, the Nokia 9 looks to be an impressive smartphone. Concrete judgements about the device are reserved until a complete smartphone will be available for testing. Design wise, we can't discern much due to the case. It appears to have an aluminum build, with an impressive finish. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned. We'll keep you updated on the latest.
