[Update] The Nintendo Switch has been officially revealed. You can learn more by going here.

[Original Story] It's been a very long time, but now the wait is almost over, as the Nintendo NX will finally be unveiled in just a few hours with a new video. However we might have managed to learn something new regarding the console even before its official unveiling.

The Nintendo of America official website is currently showing an image detailing the Nintendo NX reveal scheduled for later today. Interestingly enough, the image describes the Nintendo NX as the company's next "home gaming system", hinting that the possible hybrid nature of the console may not be its main focus.

Nintendo hasn't said much about what is going to be shown later today in the Nintendo NX reveal video, but it seems like we may not learn more about the specs. Former Destructoid UK editor-in-chief Laura Kate Dale, who talked about the NX reveal video before an official confirmation, stated on her official Twitter profile that specs will not be part of today's trailer, and will be revealed soon after via press release. This statement falls in line with another one from earlier this week's stating that more news on the next Nintendo console will be coming next week.

As this doesn't come directly from Nintendo, we must take it with a grain of salt. Thankfully, we will learn more about the matter in just a few hours.

The Nintendo NX will be unveiled with a new video later today. We will keep you updated on Nintendo's next system as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
