New 5.5-inch Samsung Device Leaked – Sports Snapdragon 801 and Android 4.4.4 KitKat

While the world is craving to get more and more Galaxy S6 rumors, leaks, and features' details, dear Sammy seems to be busy working on some more interesting smartphones. Yesterday, we saw an entry-level Samsung Z1 Tizen smartphone geared for emerging markets of India, South Korea and China. Today we are looking at a completely different 5.5-inch device.

5.5-inch Samsung G430:

The leaks of this new device also come from India where a company responsible for tracking import / export shipment records have leaked some details of this unreleased and unannounced device. A listing was discovered on this Indian company Zauba pointing towards a 5.5-inch Samsung device model number SM-G430. According to the leak, the aforementioned device is undergoing Research and Development phase at Samsung.

Techtastic a tech news site has further discovered that this 5.5-inch Samsung G430 has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 with 401 ppi. SM-G430 gets a 2.5GHz processing chip which might be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801. On the software side, this new device gets Android 4.4.4 KitKat. These specs indicate that the upcoming device is quite a high-end smartphone which might be one from the Samsung A series of the smartphones, however, due to lack of design specs it cannot be strongly speculated.

Shipping site also suggests that as many as 17 units of this Samsung G430 have been shipped to India perhaps for testing purposes. Samsung G430 smartphone looks to be a high-end smartphone aimed for early 2015 to get some market share. Looking at non-flagship but still high-end specs, it is expected that the device will be priced a little cheaper than the customary price tags of flagship devices giving Samsung an entry into affordable high-end smartphone market. Entry level Z1 Tizen, mid-range phone from A series, and now this affordable high-end device - Sammy seems to be strategically ready for some profiting year ahead!
