MSI's upcoming Z790 & B760 refresh motherboard lineup features have been detailed and will be fully supporting the 14th Gen Intel CPU family.

The Intel 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Desktop CPU family is just around the corner and MSI is prepping a new line of motherboards based on the existing Z790 and B760 chipset. These latest boards will be featured under the "MAX" series and include a range of features. All of the boards pictured today are aimed at high-end and mainstream audiences with prices that range from 279 USD to 399 USD.

So first up, we have the MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk MAX WIFI which features a new black and lime yellow color pattern. This motherboard is going to be a bang-for-buck option within the MAX line since it offers all the necessary I/O features with a stealthy (Non-RGB) look, a powerful 16 Phase VRM design with 90A SPS power stages, up to DDR5-7200+ memory support, and WIFI 7 capabilities (with 2.5 GbE LAN). A standout feature for the high-end Z790 MAX boards will be the addition of a single Screwless M.2 Shield Frozr heatsink and easy-to-plug WIFI antenna connectors which makes things very easy and convenient for PC builders. This motherboard will have a price of $329 US.

The high-end MSI MPG Z790 Carbon MAX WIFI has also been pictured and as expected, is equipped with a 19 Phase Direct power design with 105A SPS power stages while the EDGE Max is equipped with a 16 Phase Mirrored Power design & uses 90A SPS power stages. The Carbon supports up to DDR5-7600+ memory whereas the Edge is capable of supporting DDR5-7200+ memory. The Carbon comes in a stealthy black design while the Edge comes with a creamy white color theme. Carbon supports onboard WIFI 7 & 5 GbE LAN. It even ships with a USB4 PD100W expansion card with four (2 Type-C and 2 Type-A ports).

Next up is the MSI MPG B760M EDGE TI WIFI which takes the mATX form factor with a distinct black and silver color scheme. The motherboard is equipped with a 14-phase power delivery and comes with three M.2 slots, four SATA III ports, & a full-length PCIe x16 expansion slot. The board also has a range of I/O connectivity including support for WIFI 7. Pricing will be set under $299 US for this option. The Z790 MAX variant of this motherboard is expected to cost $399 US.

Lastly, there's the PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI from MSI which features an 18-Phase VRM design with a silver and black aesthetic in the ATX form factor. This motherboard comes with four M.2 slots of which three are cooled by Lightning Gen 4 heatsinks and two full-length PCIe x16 expansion slots. This motherboard is expected to cost $279 US making it the cheapest entry in the MSI Z790 MAX lineup.
