Next Lumia Flagship Smartphones Accidentally Listed On Microsoft Store – Read All The Hardware Details Here

It has been a while since we heard a great deal about the flagship Lumia devices from the software giant. However, it looks these high-end smartphones could be entering the market in a short period of time thanks to the details posted below.

Microsoft Store Accidentally Lists Hardware Specifications Of Upcoming Flagship Lumia Smartphones

According to the details listed on the Microsoft Store, both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL have been listed. The disappointing thing about this revelation is that the pricing details were not mentioned below the brief hardware specifications listing. However, the fact that they are flagship handsets does not mean that they are going to be coming cheaply. Previously, we reported that one high-end Lumia smartphone was going to feature a polycarbonate chassis, and in addition to this, both handsets are also going to be incorporated with an Iris scanner.

According to the details listed on the Microsoft Store, Lumia 950 is going to have a 5.2 inch screen with a 1440p display. There were no details listed concerning the chipset, processor, and RAM, but it did state that there is going to be a 20MP rear camera sensor with ZEISS optics, coupled with 32GB of on-board storage. Apart from the screen size of 5.7 inch, Lumia 950 XL is also going to sport the aforementioned specifications, along with an expandable storage slot with a limit of 2TB.

We have yet to see Windows 10 Mobile in action, and we have a feeling that both Lumia 950 and 950 XL are going to be showcased alongside Surface Pro 4 during the month of October. It is also expected that both smartphones are going to provide support for a Surface Pen, as well as a Type-C USB port. This particular port will increase data transfer speeds and from what we have heard about these devices, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are going to be incorporated with the following chipsets.

  • Lumia 950: Snapdragon 808
  • Lumia 950 XL: Snapdragon 810

What this means is that Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 will also be present, assuming a compatible charger is bundled with the retail packaging. We can also expect that both Lumia smartphones are going to sport a Qi Wireless charging functionality, but all of these details will be made known during the official Microsoft event, which is most likely going to be held on October 6.
