Yep, it is possible for you install the latest iOS 8 Golden Master (GM) on your devices without having the UDID registration. As mandatory with all our iOS and Android tutorials, here are a few points that you should consider before reading the instructions to install iOS 8 on your iPhone and iPad:
- Upgrade iTunes to the very latest 11.4 version which was released only a few days back and supports iOS 8.
- Says without going that you should always create a backup of your device before installing newer versions of the OS to be able to restore to it in the future.

Install iOS 8 on your iPhone and iPad:
- Extract .ipsw file from the dmg file:
- On Mac, double click on the file to mount the dmg file. In the Finder > Devices, you will see the new mount.
- On Windows, use a tool like 7-Zip. Open the .hfs inside the .dmg as well and copy the .ipsw file to your Desktop.
- Open iTunes and connect your device with your computer.
- In the Summary tab, hold down the option key (for Mac) or the shift key (for Windows) and click on the Check for Update button.
- Locate the .ipsw file and select it.
- Wait for the iOS 8 update to complete.
- When done, you can restore your device from any of the previous backups that you have.
Ta da! That's just about it. You have installed the very final, golden master build of the iOS 8 on your iPhone, iPad, or the iPod Touch.
