HTC might be going all out with the U12 Plus, according to a leak specs sheet. In short, this might be the most powerful handset that we’ve seen from the Taiwanese manufacturer in a long time.
HTC U12 Plus Will Get All the Essentials and More From a 2018 Flagship, According to This Leaked Image
A Chinese source has leaked the specs of the upcoming HTC U12 Plus. As per the leaked sheet, the phone will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal flash memory, thus keeping up with the hardware of devices like the upcoming OnePlus 6 and Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S. The phone will also come with Edge Sense 2, the second-generation pressure sensitive frame that we saw on HTC U11. It lets you do tasks, such as taking pictures or launching an app just with a squeeze. Unfortunately, the leaked specs are not enough to tell what the new generation of the Edge Sense will bring.
The HTC U12 Plus will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. The memory will be expandable up to 2TB via a microSD slot but it does seem absurd to have this much storage because as a customer, you can’t find a microSD card with that much capacity anywhere.
The phone will also have a 5.5-inch QHD+ screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and support dual-SIM functionality. However, it is not known whether there will be a dedicated slot for the second SIM, or if the users will have to make do with a hybrid set up which entails a tradeoff between the second SIM and the microSD card.
The top bezel of the HTC H12 Plus will have two 8MP cameras. There would be a 12MP camera with a superior F/1.5 lens on the back and the phone will be IP68 certified. It will be possible to use the company’s USonic earphones on the phone to cancel out the surrounding noises. Fortunately, the phone will also support wireless charging and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0, Boom Sound enabled by Dolby Audio and NFC.
The phone is expected to be announced at the start of May and looking at the hardware, do not be certain that it will be given to you cheaply.
