HTC M8 Specifications Rumor Leaked – To Release in Q1 2014

The next flagship by HTC, the M8 is expected to be released in Q1 2014. This generation when considering hardware, HTC has lost to the likes of Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4 and other flagships from other companies. The "UltraPixel" camera used by HTC in HTC One and the HTC One max runs short of expectations. The SOC used in both the phones is also not the latest. While competing companies utilize the Snapdragon 800 in some of their phones HTC is stuck with the slightly slower Snapdragon 600.

Possible HTC M8 Specs Leak

HTC's new flagship phone is purported to have a 5 inch 1080p display which, other than size is not an improvement over the existing HTC One. The new flavor of Android 4.4 is expected to be running on the M8. The new Sense revision can be expected to run on the M8 also. The SOC is updated to the newest Snapdragon 800. Nothing else is known as this is just a rumor.

These updated specs are welcome but they are late. The Snapdragon has been already featured in many phones and it is nothing new. Also, with the advent of curved displays in the market, the 5 inch 1080p display seems old. Samsung is pushing its next Galaxy flagship to ship with rumored 4gb, also Samsung will reportedly homebrew a 64bit chip.

With such talk about other companies, the new HTC M8 has specs which look 'Stale' in comparison to the competition. The HTC One was no doubt a lovely device to behold and the innovative ultrapixel camera was a good idea even if it did not work out, but we hope HTC does well next time to keep up with the likes of Samsung, Sony and LG.
