Here's why you should use Critical Shot as much as possible in PRAGMATA

PRAGMATA features a few useful abilities with clear uses, and some whose benefits are not apparent. This is the case of Critical Shot, an early-game ability that can make your life much easier in some unexpected ways.

The Benefits of Finishing Enemies With a Critical Shot

Finishing enemies with a Critical Shot, even without having it upgraded at level 3 or without having already collected certain mods that enhance the ability, is always worth it, for two reasons:

  • Every bot defeated with a Critical Shot drops extra Lunafilament. This makes it easier and faster to upgrade every weapon, ability, and hacking node to its maximum level.
  • During the animation, you are fully invincible, allowing you to ease off the pressure from enemies if you are surrounded by them.

How to Unlock Critical Shot

Critical Shot can be unlocked after completing Sector 01: Solar Power Plant. Access the Unit Printer in the Shelter, navigate to the Abilities Tab, and you will find the ability. It requires 1 Pure Lunum to unlock.

Using Critical Shot, Step-by-Step

  1. Damage the enemy until it is in critical health to make the Critical Shot hacking node appear on the Hacking Matrix.
  2. Navigate the Hacking Matrix and go through the node, successfully completing the hack to knock the enemy down.
  3. Perform the finishing blow by pressing the R2/RT/ZR button while the enemy is open.
