The company has announced a new service program for the affected models which will fix the issue. How to Check if Your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro Has a Failing Sound Component Which is Creating Issues
As mentioned earlier, Apple announced the new sound service program recently, which will fix the failing sound component for free. All you have to do is take your affected iPhone to your nearest Apple Store and you are all set. Your iPhone 12 will be fixed with no charge at all. Apple says that a "very small percentage" of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 models are affected by the issue. However, since Apple sells millions of devices a year, even a small percentage would count as gigantic in terms of numbers. You can always check the iPhone 12 sound issue.
In order to check at home whether you are indeed in need of a replacement, simply place a call and see if you hear anything in the earpiece.
