God of War Leads NAVGTR Awards Nominations with 22 (Record), Just Ahead of Marvel’s Spider-Man

The nominations for the 18th annual edition of the NAVGTR Awards (National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers) have been announced across the 59 categories honoring animation, art direction, character design, controls, game design, game engineering, musical score, sound effects, writing, and more. The winners will be announced on March 13th.

We have strong contenders for this year’s NAVGTR awards, including record-setting nominations by God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man. It can be anyone’s day as there are a bevy of other amazing titles in the mix, such as Detroit: Become Human and Red Dead Redemption 2. We can’t wait to see which games come out on top.

God of War set a new record for the NAVGTR Awards with 22 nominations this year, followed closely by another PlayStation 4 exclusive, Marvel's Spider-Man, which received 21. Quantic Dream's Detroit: Become Human got sixteen nominations, four more than Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2. Below you can find all of the nominations, divided per category.
