The Galaxy S22 phones are among the best despite being a little over a year old. Sadly, the Plus and Ultra variants have been discontinued by Samsung, with the base variant still available at $699. That, however, is about to change as Samsung has shared its plans about the phones and how they are going to be priced in the coming days.

Samsung is celebrating earth day by offering significant discounts on both the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series

Samsung has decided to slash the prices of the Galaxy S22 series, making the phones a lot more tempting for those who want to try them out. The prices will be slashed on April 21st, which is also Earth Day 2023, and you can buy the phones in "Certified Renewed" condition directly from Samsung. The good thing? You are getting refurbished devices in like-new condition that come with everything, including the warranty that Samsung provides on its brand-new devices.

But are the prices discounted enough? Well, here is what you will be expected to pay:

  • Renewed Galaxy S22 — $619 for 128GB in Phantom Black or Phantom Green
  • Renewed Galaxy S22 Plus — $769 for 128GB in Phantom Black
  • Renewed Galaxy S22 Ultra — $919 for 128GB in Phantom Black

It is safe to say that anyone who is looking to get their hands on a flagship, the Galaxy S22 Ultra makes a lot of sense as it is heavily discounted, and considering how I believe the Galaxy S23 Ultra is not really a worthy upgrade, I would suggest picking this phone up. If you still think you want a cheaper option, Samsung is actually going to offer the entire Galaxy S21 lineup at a discount too, the phones will be in the same certified renewed condition and come with an official warranty. Here is the pricing for the Galaxy S21 devices:

  • Renewed Galaxy S21 for $529
  • Renewed Galaxy S21 Plus for $679
  • Renewed Galaxy S21 Ultra for $829

Honestly, despite never having a chance to buy a renewed phone, these prices are excellent, and considering how all these devices are still actively supported by Samsung, I really cannot think of anything wrong with going for these devices instead of the newer Galaxy S23 series.
