Google will release the Pixel 8a in less than a month. It will be the company's answer to affordable devices that are making their mark on the smartphone industry. So far, we have seen numerous leaks about the phones, and honestly, all of them point to the fact that this is going to be a pretty stellar device for anyone who is not looking to spend a lot of money.
The Pixel 8a looks stunning in both Mint and Bay colorways
Today, we have something even better than the prior leaks. A new hands-on video has surfaced that shows the Pixel 8a in two gorgeous colors. The phone is shown in both Mint and Bay colors, and yes, it does look stunning in these colorways.

Looking at the video above, it is safe to say that these are indeed the retail units of the Pixel 8a that someone has decided to put up for sale. The user has also mentioned that these variants have eight gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of storage, but we do expect another model with more RAM and more storage to come out. For some reason, the price they have mentioned is high, but this could be because the phone is not officially out at the moment.
The Pixel 8a will feature a compact, rounded design with a flat screen. There are two cameras on the back, and the phone will feature an underclocked variant of the Tensor G3 that is found in the elder siblings. All of this might sound like you are just paying for an underpowered Pixel 8, but I do believe that people who are looking for a definitive Android experience are in luck because this phone does sound very, very tempting. Speaking of what this phone might bring to the table, you can also expect a bevy of AI features found in the elder siblings because of the same chipset.
The Pixel 8a will officially show face next month at Google I/O 2024, and I am really looking forward to seeing what this device has to offer. As far as the pricing is concerned, the phone is rumored to cost around $500 for the base variant, which would make it a compelling offering for anyone who is in the market for a mid-ranger that delivers on the Android experience.
