Essential Phone’s Camera App Update Brings Portrait Mode Alongside Other Improvements
The Camera app on the Essential Phone has just got better with the latest update. Essential rolled out an update that brings a slew of improvements in the Camera app and a brand new feature. The update brings that much-accoladed Portrait Mode for the app. This feature has been one of the most requested ones, and it is great to see that the makers have granted the wish.
In addition to the Portrait Mode, users will also find significant improvements in the existing camera app modes. The update brings JPEG compression for all the standard modes that is expected to boost image quality. Especially for the Portrait Mode, the overall compression has been reduced regardless of the size. Well, Essential is not the only company bringing tweaks to the Portrait Mode in the camera app this year. Even the latest iPhone lineup has also brought the new portrait mode with a black background that comes into action automatically.
What’s more, Essential is also offering users with more control over exposure in their shots with the new exposure compensation dial. It will let users control exposure as per their requirement. As for the Portrait Mode, check out the picture below that has been posted on Essential's official Twitter handle. The picture looks perfect as it focuses on the subject (we want to know this cutie pie's name too) and makes the background blurred in the right amount.
We're excited to roll out a new camera update that includes portrait mode, reduced compression to improve image quality, and more. Download the update here: https://t.co/zXoZ765GHF pic.twitter.com/rCFJlLCYAm
