[Update – Mistake on the Developer’s Part] Battlestar Galactica Deadlock To Run at Native 4K on PS4 Pro; No Xbox One X Support Yet

Black Lab Games reached out to us and apologized for what was an honest mistake on their behalf. They double checked and the game is being rendered internally at FullHD (1080P) and then upscaled to 4K.

Company of Heroes 3 Multiplayer Pre-Alpha Out Tomorrow on Steam

Earlier this year, publisher Slitherine and Australian-based developer Black Lab Games announced that Battlestar Galactica Deadlock would launch on PC and consoles.

The turn-based strategy game based on the popular Sci-fi franchise did indeed become available on Steam on August 31st, but the console debut was delayed. That's about to be remedied on December 8th, with the game set to launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it's good news given the positive reception on Steam so far.

We've reached out to Black Lab Games to ask them whether they had plans to support Xbox One X or PlayStation 4 Pro. Unfortunately, Xbox fans are currently out of luck in this regard as the development team did not receive the devkit yet. On the other hand, Founder Paul Turbett confirmed to Wccftech that Battlestar Galactica Deadlock will run at native 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro (a rarity for the console), though there won't be additional enhancements beyond the increased screen resolution.

Battlestar Galactica Deadlock can now be pre-ordered digitally for Xbox One via Microsoft Store. It's priced at $29.99.
