Battlerite Devs Mock EA’s Now Infamous “Sense of Pride and Accomplishment” Quote

Battlerite is the newly released indie "arena brawler" game by Stunlock Studios, the developers who also made Bloodline Champions. You might recall that we gave away a ton of codes to unlock one of the playable champions, Ashka 'The Molten Fury'.

The game managed to stay on the news by virtue of its high player count. This week's patch, though, not only included a brand new champion (Destiny 'The Sky Ranger') but also included a very classy stab at Electronic Arts for their recent Star Wars Battlefront II loot box fiasco.

You might remember that customers were initially very angry because unlocking iconic heroes such as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader had a huge cost in credits. The initial response by EA's community team is now the most downvoted post in the entire history of Reddit by far.

The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes. As for cost, we selected initial values based upon data from the Open Beta and other adjustments made to milestone rewards before launch. Among other things, we're looking at average per-player credit earn rates on a daily basis, and we'll be making constant adjustments to ensure that players have challenges that are compelling, rewarding, and of course attainable via gameplay.
We appreciate the candid feedback, and the passion the community has put forth around the current topics here on Reddit, our forums and across numerous social media outlets.
Our team will continue to make changes and monitor community feedback and update everyone as soon and as often as we can.

With the latest Battlerite update, Stunlock Studios added a new pose whose description is an all too obvious reference to the above post.

The Dab of Pride and Accomplishment – New Legendary Pose available for Croak. Can be unlocked for 20,000 Tokens.
The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking this item.
This item can only be purchased with tokens and will not drop in chests.

You can check out the Dab-dance style pose in action below. Of course, the developers also clarified that the item can only be purchased with in-game tokens.
