Batman Arkham Knight – How to Remove the Framerate Limit
Batman Arkham Knight has released for both current-gen consoles and PC, and while the console versions have been gathering praise from all major publications, PC gamers are complaining of facing performance issues on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs, and being restricted by a framerate cap at 30fps. The PC gaming community values the higher framerate being possible by the powerful PC hardware and most aim for framerates of around 60fps or higher for a satisfyingly smooth experience.
There is a simple workaround to remove the 30fps limit imposed in the PC version of Batman Arkham Knight, although it could cause some stuttering issues, as the game is optimized to run at the lower framerate.
To remove the limit you can follow the steps below:
- Open the folder where the game is installed.
- Now look for the file named ‘‘\BmGame\Config\BmSystemSettings.ini’.
- Once the file is opened, look for the line that says ‘Max_FPS=30′.
- Once you find it, simply delete ’30’ and add ‘9999’ instead.
- Save the file and run the game.
