Apple has finished filming its iPhone 16 event

The iPhone 16 launch event was previously said to be held on September 10, but Apple is also expected to announce a bevy of products alongside its four flagship models. According to the latest report, the technology giant is working in overdrive mode because the keynote’s filming has apparently wrapped up, meaning Apple is more than ready to showcase new devices to the masses.

Promotional images prior to the iPhone 16 event leaked out, showing that major markets are gearing up for the imminent launch

The iPhone 16 launch update was given by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, as he stated in the latest edition of his ‘Power On’ newsletter that Apple plans to air the video in the Steve Jobs Theater, a practice that the company has followed for many years now. The entire presentation will be live-streamed through a multitude of channels, and the report has also mentioned that the new iPhone 16 models will be officially available to purchase 10 days after the announcement ends, making the date September 20.

“Apple’s September product launches are typically the first Tuesday or Wednesday after Labor Day, and it looks like this year will follow that same pattern. The company has wrapped up filming of its iPhone 16 launch video and is planning to host an event at its campus on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Sticking to the script of the past few years, Apple will air the keynote video in the Steve Jobs Theater and allow attendees to check out the new iPhones and other hardware afterward. Of course, the presentation will also be streamed online. The new iPhones will hit stores 10 days later, beginning on Friday, Sept. 20.”

Based on previous reports, Apple intends to ramp up production of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, with the Cupertino firm’s biggest model making up the largest volume, indicating that these two will be spearheading the company’s initial 90 million shipments for 2024. Foxconn was also reported to have hired 50,000 additional workers to meet demand, highlighting that the few weeks after launch day will be intense. Also, even though a few weeks remain for the iPhone 16 launch, leaked promotional images were doing the rounds, which is unsurprising, but these reports and leaks hint that we should be in for a jam-packed keynote.
