Apple's iPhone 16 lineup will launch sometime in September, with the standard models getting some notable design upgrades. The 'Pro' models, on the other hand, will look the same, but they will grow in size from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches for the smaller version and 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches for the Pro Max. However, Apple's standard models are speculated to come with additional improvements in design as well, which includes the Action and the Capture Button. Now, an image has been leaked on social media, which aims to show the design of the iPhone 16 and the potential colors it could come in.
iPhone 16 dummy units leak to show color options for the device and the general design details
The image was posted on social media by Sonny Dickson, showcasing the dummy units of the iPhone 16 bolstering a new design and the color options Apple has planned for later this year. It can be seen in the image provided that the company is set on changing the camera layout of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, with the diagonal setup being ditched in favor of a vertical lens.
The camera lens appears a bit bigger with their color-matched rings, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro models. The company is possibly opting to switch from a diagonal layout to a vertical setup, potentially to enable Spatial Video, which will open users' doors to the Vision Pro. We can say that the company is indirectly attracting all segments of the market to get their hands on the Vision Pro. However, it seems that the company has run out of ideas for the camera layout, as it is the same design the company opted for the iPhone X and a few subsequent models.
The image also shows the potential colors of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, which appear to be quite different than the colors of the iPhone 15 models. It is not clear if the color hue of the iPhone 16 will be the same or if the colors will be more solid than pastels. As per the leaker, the iPhone 16 models will be available in the following color options:
- Pink
- Green
- Blue
- Black
- White
The company seems to have added a new White color option, which is replacing Yellow in the lineup. Note that these are only initial claims, as the final product could be quite different than the dummy units, offering way more refinements to the use as well as the material.
