Before its launch in the U.S., several Apple Vision Pro training sessions were given to select retail outlet members. The idea was to better inform them on how to approach a potential buyer and make them interested enough to spend $3,499 and upwards on the company’s mixed-reality headset. That same strategy is said to be followed in overseas markets, starting with France. A new report states that a few personnel from Apple’s physical outlets will be shortlisted and provided training sessions on the device.
The exact launch of the Apple Vision Pro was not specified, and Tim Cook has not made any mention of France being a potential market
Apple CEO Tim Cook had previously mentioned that the Vision Pro would launch in China later this year. However, the statement did not clarify if the AR headset would arrive in other markets, despite the fact that there is evidence that the Apple Vision Pro will eventually support 12 different languages. Now, according to WatchGeneration, retail employees will undergo training on the head-mounted wearable and will likely be taught how to approach customers the same way that U.S. employees were educated.
Since the report publishes no launch dates or pricing details, we are skeptical about this information, though we are willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had previously stated that the Apple Vision Pro would launch outside of the U.S. before WWDC 2024 kicked off on June 10. Since the U.S. would be a limited market for Apple, expanding in other regions might motivate the technology giant to resume its work on future models that might attract a larger audience thanks to its more affordable price tag.
After estimating that the Apple Vision Pro shipments would reach 500,000 units by the end of 2024, Kuo’s updated prediction says that this figure could reach up to 800,000 units during the same period, possibly due to the launch in other markets. By next year, we might be looking at a low-cost version, which could generate even more traction in several regions, so stay tuned for more updates.
