Amazon Web Servers Are Down And It’s Creating A Lot Of Problems For Users

It looks like Amazon is in a bit of trouble. Its web hostimg services are very widely used and when the server goes down a whole lot of other things go down along with it. It seems that this is the exact thing that is happening right today. Amazon is reporting ‘high error rates’ in a region that uses its S3 web services and various other services went down because of this issue. This warning is a fancy way of saying that something is seriously broken and users are suffering because of it.

Amazon servers suffering

“We’ve identified the issue as high error rates with S3 in US-EAST-1,” Amazon explains on its services tracking page further adding that the issue “is also impacting applications and services dependent on S3. We are actively working on remediating the issue.” The sites that are appearing to be offline because of this Amazon issue include Trello, Quora, IFTTT, and Splitwise. Other than this websites that have been built with the site-creation Wix, GroupMe are also suffering. Alexa is finding it hard to stay online and Nest’s app isn’t exactly connecting to thermostats and other devices. Due to the error, is suffering as well.

This is indeed disappointing but what makes us more upset is the fact that this isn’t the first time Amazon has suffered. It has experienced brief outages before as well that disturbed offline services like Instagram, Vine, and IMDb.It is true that the outage today hasn’t affected any big names yet but the smaller sites that so many people rely on are definitely creating a lot of problem nonetheless. We don’t really know when the problem will be solved but according to the company, they are “actively working on re-mediating the issue.”

Well, till this issue is resolved we can only wait and hope that this never happens again and the company solves this problem once and for all.
