UPDATE: the release window has been now modified in the press release back to generic 2016 again.

ORIGINAL STORY: Sniper Elite 4 was announced last week by Rebellion Developments, but there were still quite a few critical details missing such as price and release date window.

A press release addressed all of this today while announcing that the game will be distributed physically by Sold Out. The price will be £49.99 / €69.99 / $59.99, with a target release window of Q3 2016.

Gary Williams, CEO of Sold Out, said:

It is great to see that British software and development is not only alive and well, but through Rebellion’s efforts, actually flourishing. Sold Out is delighted to be the harbour master for Rebellion’s boxed console journey.

Co-Founder and CEO of Rebellion, Jason Kingsley, added:

We’re extremely excited to be working alongside Sold Out again after the huge success of Zombie Army Trilogy, and this way we can produce the most successful Sniper Elite game to date, not only digitally, but also at retail.

Sold Out is also extending its publishing relationship for the USA territory with U&I distribution. Shane Dodson, Partner at U&I Entertainment, said:

We are excited to be building on last year's success with Zombie Army Trilogy, to partner again with Sold Out to bring Rebellion's Sniper Elite 4 to the U.S. retail market. This outstanding Triple-A franchise exemplifies Rebellion's development talent and typifies the quality of product Sold Out / U&I Entertainment is working to bring to US retail.

Sniper Elite 4 will be set in Italy, 1943, with covert agent and elite marksman Karl Fairburne fighting alongside the Italian resistance to defeat a terrifying new threat that could halt the Allied's advance in Europe. Rebellion has promised native 1080P resolution on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the game itself will feature emergent stealth action and complete sniping freedom across maps "many times" the size of those seen in Sniper Elite 3.

There will be a dedicated campaign as well as co-op and adversarial modes. Stay tuned for more on Sniper Elite 4!
