AMD Ryzen processors are going to launch in less than a month’s time and another leak has come our way. This time, we are looking at the official box art of the Ryzen processors which will have several variants at launch.

Official AMD Ryzen Processor Box Art Leaks Out – Several Models Listed Online Along With Prices

The AMD Ryzen processor models were covered by us earlier this month. We reported that a total of 17 new models based on the Zen architecture would be making their way to the AM4 platform. The lineup would be featuring various SKUs based on 8 core, 6 core and 4 core dies. All models will feature unlocked multipliers and prices that will make AMD very competitive against Intel CPUs (HEDT and mainstream).

The lineup was listed on a Thailand based retail outlet along with pre-order pricing. We can tell you that the final prices of Ryzen chips will be lower than that. Prices for the AM4 motherboards were recently covered by us so those of you planning to hop on the new AM4 platform should definitely check out this article.

The prices for Ryzen processors are listed in Thai Baht Currency. A Ryzen 7 1800X for 18,790 Baht would be $537 US (Pre-Order).

The box art can be seen to be very simple with a full black color theme. The Ryzen logo can be seen on the front along with the AMD logos. The side of the box lists down key features of the processor while the top will feature naming and specifications of the model itself. Based on the size of the box, we can expect a stock HSF (Heat Sink Fan) within the package.

New Stock Coolers For a New Generation of Processors – Will Be Available With Ryzen in Wraith, 95W and 65W Variants

The new processors will be available with a new set of stock coolers. AMD will be offering these coolers in three specific models. They include a Wraith based model which is designed to handle thermal loads over 95W so the XFR (Extended Frequency Range) feature can take full benefit of higher clock speeds. The other models include a 95W and a 65W model which are designed for the rest of the lineup.

Prices on the coolers have not been confirmed but at least two variants, the 95W and 65W, will be bundled with a range of processors. The Wraith cooler will possibly be sold separately or there will be a bundle package that comes with a “X” series processor along with the cooler itself. A recent picture uploaded by AMD’s Raja Koduri shows that the new coolers could feature LED lightning which is something cool to have on stock bundled HSFs.

AMD X370 Platform Specs:

As for the platform itself, AM4 X370 will be top of the line. Aside from the budget friendly B350 and A320 chips, the X370 PCH will offer increased PCIe lanes and increased storage / connectivity features. AMD has planned a total of 16 new AM4 motherboards which will be available at launch through their partners. The boards are detailed in our post here.
