Samsung has just launched a new watch face for Galaxy Watch users looking to know the time on different planets in our solar system. While it might sound strange, I am really surprised by this. The South Korean tech giant made this watch face in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA).
Galaxy Time is available on Galaxy Watch, which will let you view the time and real-time information on all the planets in the solar system
With the new Galaxy Watch face, users will be able to get real-time updates about the solar system. Each planet on this watch face will be rotating around its axis and the sun at different rates than the earth. Despite the passage of time being relatively the same across the solar system, each planet has a different day and year length when you compare them with Earth. With the new watch face, you will be able to get the Earth's time as well as the time on other planets. I do understand that some people might not want to use this feature, but honestly, I think it is really handy, especially for nerds like us.
Samsung has announced that the new face is aptly called Galaxy Time. It manages to achieve a high level of precision by collaborating with ESA that provides measurements data. The new watch face is capable of showing information about all the planets in the solar system. This means that you will be able to check the time on Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus.
Galaxy Watch users will get access to each planet with its own dial, which will even show the time running faster or slower relative to our 24-hour system. The watch face will also provide extra information such as distances from our planet or the sun, how many moons these planets have, and what their planetary seasons are like. Plus, the watch face will even tell the exact position they have on the solar system.
The good news is that the new Galaxy Time watch face is compatible with all the Galaxy Watch variants that are running Wear OS. This means that you can try it on the Watch 4 and can go all the way up to Watch 6, and it will also be available on Watch 7. The Watch Face should be available for everyone to use, so if you are looking forward to using it, go ahead and download it.
