Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 Concept Features 99% Screen-to-Body Ratio, Vertical Triple Camera & a Vivo NEX-Like Pop-up Selfie Shooter

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is one of the most awaited phones of this year, particularly because people will want to see how the Chinese tech star will attempt to take on the Vivo APEX and OPPO Find X. This latest concept might highlight some of the things that we might see from the upcoming flagship and in a nutshell, it is a mix of the Vivo NEX and the Huawei P20 Pro.

The Science and Knowledge YouTube channel has now uploaded a brand new video showing the concept design of the upcoming phone. The phone is reminiscent of the Mi MIX 2 and the Vivo NEX. Some leaks doing rounds on the internet have also claimed that the Mi MIX 3 may feature a pop-up camera like the one seen of Vivo NEX. That’s probably where the YouTube channel got its inspiration from.

Xiaomi is Now The Latest Culprit in Throttling Apps

Unlike the near bezel-less concept phone, the real Mi MIX 3 will probably not be completely bezel-less. The video also shows that the display has rounded corners and features an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is something that top-tier phone manufacturers have yet to implement on their phones and are being beaten by their Chinese competitors. The front camera elevates when needed, which in this case when the camera app is fired up.

Cameras on the concept phone are located in the same position as on the Mi MIX 2. However, the Mi MIX 3 has a triple-camera system on the back and the LED flash is placed below them. All the physical keys are placed on the right-hand side of the phone, with the SIM card slot(s) are on the left. It appears that the phone is made of ceramic and metal. Apart from envisioning the design of the phone, the designers have also assumed some specs for the Mi MIX 3.

The concept phone has a 6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 and a screen-to-body ratio of an unprecedented 99 percent, though the display tech used in the actual smartphone will definitely be OLED. The phone runs Android 9.0 with Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 on top.

The imaginary device is also powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC, supplemented with 8GB of RAM and featuring 64GB/128GB/256GB storage flavors. One of the cameras on the back is a 40MP shooter, with the designers also giving the device a 23MP selfie shooter. The concept has dropped the 3.5mm headphone jack and sports a 3,400mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging support.
