Xiaomi is back with another cheap gaming monitor. This time, it's bringing a higher resolution offering with HDR support at just over $100.

Xiaomi Launches One of the Cheapest 2K@200Hz Gaming Monitor; G27Q 2026 Monitor Boasts 95% DCI-P3 Color Gamut, HDR400 Support, and 200Hz Refresh Rate at Just $112

Xiaomi is aggressively pricing its display products, and its G27Q 2026 might be the cheapest 1440p gaming monitor, boasting a 200Hz refresh rate. At around $100-$130, it's easy to find a 24-inch 1080p 144-200Hz gaming monitor, but a 27-inch 1440p gaming monitor is almost impossible in this price range. The cheapest I could find is the Acer Nitro KG271U, which boasts up to 180Hz refresh rate and offers similar specs to the G27Q 2026 but costs $179.

The Redmi G27Q 2026 costs just 799 Yuan or US$112. This is incredibly cheap for a 2K@200Hz monitor that also brings competitive specs like a Fast IPS panel, HDR 400 support, a wide color gamut including spaces like 95% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB, and also offers ergonomic design via a rotating bracket. Although the ergonomic model will cost 100 Yuan or US$14 more. Still, all of it is just available at $130. The Redmi G27Q 2026 looks more stylish than the Redmi A22, which is an entry-level 1080p 24-inch gaming monitor, boasting a 100Hz refresh rate at just $53.

All in all, Xiaomi has the cheapest 1080p@100Hz and 1440@200Hz monitor for gamers with a tight budget. The G27Q 2026, however, will be ideal for fast-paced gaming, unlike the 1080p offering, due to a higher refresh rate, and it also has vibrant color reproduction. With HDR400 support, the visuals will be enhanced as well.

It's great seeing such affordable displays in the market, and not just VA and IPS monitors; OLED gaming monitors are also gradually dropping in price regularly. The G27Q 2026 monitor is currently available on JD for purchase at 799 Yuan, which is lower than the price of its predecessor, the Redmi G27Q 2025 monitor. The 2025 edition is almost identical in specifications, except that it boasts a 180Hz refresh rate, but there was another variant that can boost up to 240Hz. So, the 2026 edition falls between the two, but offers brightness equivalent to the 240Hz edition.
