The Witcher 3 1.02 vs 1.03 Screenshot Comparison Shows Sharpened Graphics and Textures
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is certainly one amazing game and even though certain elements on the visual department could have been a little better according to some fans, there’s no denying that it is one beautiful looking game.
CD Projekt RED has released The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s patch 1.03 on PC, which improves anisotropic filtering on Ultra detail to 16x, and introduces a new “high” sharpening setting in the post-processing menu.
Below you can see a few pairs of screenshots with version 1.02 and 1.03. The screenshots have been taken on Ultra settings, with the 1.03 screenshots having sharpening set on the new “high” option.
The 1.0.2 is first and 1.0.3 second.
There’s a way of improving the grass quality in The Witcher 3, as well as improving performance by making a few adjustments in the ini files. There’s also a workaround on how to run HairWorks on AMD GPUs without crippling performance, which enables AMD GPU users to enjoy The Witcher 3 with the HairWorks setting enabled and actually getting better performance than GeForce users not using a Maxwell architecture Nvidia GPU.
