Samsung Pushes Update for TouchWiz Home Launcher To Fix Lag on Galaxy S8

Samsung's Galaxy S8 is a powerful device, packed with top of the line hardware and features. However, many Galaxy S8 owners have been reporting about the performance lag on the device. Despite power-packed specifications, there were some serious lag issues on the phone. And Samsung had been paying heed to all the reported issues on the Galaxy S8, which is why the company has pushed an update for the TouchWiz Home launcher that fixes an issue.

The Galaxy S8 is currently receiving an update for its launcher via Google Play, and it fixes the lag issue on the device. Specifically, it takes care of the performance lag that used to come up when users swipe to open the app drawer. This issue is just one of the many lag issues on the device, but it was one of the most annoying lags. It also means that Samsung will be fixing other performance issues through an update, soon.

In addition to the issue mentioned above, Samsung has also included new information screen to the launcher that improves the text visibility under the app icon. In the previous version, the text below the icon used to be hard to read for many users, especially for the ones with bright wallpapers in the background. The information screen makes the text visible and legible for the users.
