There is no shortage of rumors surrounding the release of an affordable Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE. The rumor mill has been going on for some time and is slowly gaining more and more traction. Now, another report has surfaced talking about how much the device will cost, and if that is correct, then a lot of people will finally be able to invest in a foldable device.
At $800, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE will be the cheapest foldable from Samsung
According to a report, the alleged Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE is going to start at $800. This will be the cheapest foldable from Samsung, beating even the Galaxy Z Flip devices since they tend to start around $999. Samsung is going for this strategy for a number of reasons. For starters, it will actually help the company improve its sales, and the other part is that this move will finally allow users to go for a foldable smartphone.
Now, $800 is still a pretty penny, but for a Samsung foldable, it is unheard of. This does raise some concerns about the overall performance and build of Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE. I am most concerned about how the build quality is going to turn out, and honestly, at this point, I would rather that Samsung focus on making sure that the build quality is up to the mark.
With an $800 price tag, it is obvious that Samsung will focus on making the Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE have lower specs than its elder brother. I am expecting some cut-downs in terms of the processor choice as well as cameras. The last rumor we heard about the foldable claimed that the phone is going to ditch the S Pen support to keep the price down, and honestly, you can expect more trimmings in the final product.
As far as the release date is concerned, we are still not sure when Samsung is going to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE. I do have a feeling that it will not be unveiled during the July event because Samsung already has a lot of products lined up for July. So, the next best guess is towards the end of the year, as Samsung did last year. Whatever the case might be, we are going to keep you posted about its release and everything else that we hear.
