Today, NACON has announced a delay for the upcoming game Terminator: Survivors. Previously scheduled to enter PC early access on October 24, it will now launch at some point next year.

Marco Ponte, CEO & Creative Director of NACON Studio Milan, said in a statement:

This deferral of the game’s release was a tough decision to make, however we believe that this additional time will enable us to ensure that our vision of the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator meets the expected level of quality.

On behalf of the NACON Studio Milan team, I would like to thank all the players and fans of the franchise for their enthusiastic reception of Terminator: Survivors. We are extremely proud to have this opportunity to work on such an iconic franchise as Terminator, and are eager to reveal more of it to you. Thank you all for support… We'll be back.

Originally announced during NACON Connect 2024, Terminator: Survivors is a survival set only four years after Judgment Day (when Skynet decided to provoke a nuclear holocaust to annihilate humankind). As a player (Terminator: Survivors is available in single player or co-op multiplayer modes), you will emerge from a shelter to attempt to rebuild some semblance of society in a world hellbent on eliminating you and the last vestiges of humanity. You are tasked with scouring the surrounding land for materials, information, other survivors, and key resources to establish a base of operations for your fledgling group.

As revealed by NACON in May, Terminator: Survivors is powered by Unreal Engine 5 technology and will be playable offline. Players will face a single T-800 Terminator as NACON Studio Milan wanted to capture the essence of the first two movies:

By featuring a lone T-800 as the relentless antagonist, players are immersed in an atmosphere of constant peril and tension. Much like the protagonists in the movies, players will experience the harrowing sensation of being hunted by an adversary that knows no mercy and cannot be reasoned with.
