Today, French publisher Nacon finally hosted its Nacon Connect 2026 showcase event after it was postponed from its original date in March 2026. If you don't recall, it was postponed because Nacon filed for insolvency days after announcing the event, after its majority investor, Big Ben Interactive, failed to close its refinancing deal.

Since then, Nacon has done its best to portray strength within its portfolio and for the future, claiming that "this is not the end," though that became increasingly difficult to believe as four of its subsidiary studios filed for insolvency, one of which shut down just last week.

That said, today's Nacon Connect was no different from Nacon's previous messaging, as it tried to show off a strong future for the publisher with several new looks at upcoming games that were previously announced and updates for games already available like Session: Skate Sim.

We also got a few new game reveals with Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Rageborn, Dracula: The Disciple, and Curse of the Crimson Stag, which was less of a new game reveal and more of an official renaming of a previous game, as it was formerly known as The Fading of Nicole Wilson.

Still, the dark cloud that is the insolvency filings dampened the event overall. Cyanide, Kylotonn, and Spiders are all Nacon subsidiaries that filed for insolvency. Spiders is already shut down, and the reveal of the latest Greedfall: The Dying World DLC at today's event was a reminder that the game will receive no new updates after today.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Rageborn is Cyanide's next game, but it's worth wondering if the studio even survives long enough to see it released. The same goes for Kylotonn and the new showcase for Endurance Motorsport Series.

No one is hoping for Nacon to collapse entirely, since that would be another huge blow to the video game industry overall, and a devastating blow to France's development scene, where Nacon is one of the largest video game industry employers in the country.

Hopefully, the publisher is able to turn things around without having to close another studio. You can check out everything shown off in today's showcase below.
