The Nintendo Switch is Nintendo’s fastest-selling platform to date according to Nintendo America president, Reggie Fils-Aime.

As reported by The New York Times reporter, Nick Wingfield, Nintendo’s new platform apparently broke the company’s record for fastest-selling console within the first two days after release. Although it appears that Nintendo’s new platform sales quite well,  no actual sales numbers have been provided for the US. As reported some days ago, Nintendo managed to sell 80.000 Switch units in the UK within its first few days.

According to Fils-Aime, a long-term sales comparison with the Wii is hard, but the Switch is off to a good start.

The Nintendo Switch is available worldwide now alongside The Legend of Zelda and 1-2-Switch.
