Super Mario Run for iOS has today received an update, bringing forth a new Easy Mode. What is it all about? Find out after the jump.

Super Mario Run Downloaded Over 78 Million Times, Raked in $53 Million - Receives New Easy Mode in Latest Update

At today's earnings call, Nintendo revealed that Super Mario Run has managed to see itself downloaded over 78 million times since its release back in December of 2016. Interestingly, the game even managed to bring in $53 million for the company, which is not bad, given the short amount of time Super Mario Run has spent in the mobile space, that too on iOS only. The Android version of the game is due for release in a couple of weeks' time.

Today, apart from its third-quarter earnings call, Nintendo took the liberty to update the game for iOS users. Here's everything that is new, according to the changelog in the App Store:

* Added Easy Mode, which gives unlimited Bubbles and removes the time limit.
* Compatibility with new events.
* Compatibility with Korean.
* You will lose fewer Toads when losing in Toad Rally, and it will be easier to gather Toads.
* After receiving the My Nintendo reward Toad, he cannot be received again if save data is deleted. In order to resolve this issue, there is no longer a limit on the number of times Toad can be downloaded.
* Fixed other issues.

Probably the best addition in this update is the new Easy Mode. With the new option enabled, users can go for a run in the game without worrying about any time limit while also having the option to play around with unlimited number of Bubbles.

As ever, the game is free to download, but an in-app purchase of $9.99 is required in order to unlock everything. If you are up for that, simply tap on the link below to kick off the download.

Apart from iOS, the game is all set to arrive on Android as well, with the release date set for some time in March. If you are interested, you can pre-register for the game right away, and be notified whenever it is available for download in Google Play.

In the meantime, make sure you update your installation of Super Mario Run on your iPhone or iPad.
