Test Setup

For testing, I used the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and Ryzen 5 3600X CPUs along with the X570 AORUS that was sent by AORUS. The AMD Ryzen 3000 series comes with a totally revamped architecture when compared to AMD's 1st and 2nd Generation Ryzen processors and offer new PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) algorithms and memory routing techniques for faster and improved performance while the reduction in latency when communicating through Infinity Fabric.

For cooling, we used the Cryorig R1 Ultimate CPU cooler.

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X & Ryzen 5 3600X Overclocking on X570 AORUS PRO WiFi

AMD's first generation Ryzen chips were generally not great for overclocking purposes as the chips maxed out with just a 200-300 MHz increase on the default clocks. Same can be said for the Ryzen 3000 which are highly binned out of the box so you can only get so far with the overclocking. The AMD Ryzen 7 3700X overclocked to 4.3 GHz across all cores with a voltage supply of 1.354V while the AMD Ryzen 5 3600X overclocked to 4.225 GHz across all cores with a voltage supply of 1.368V.
